First up I’d like to congratulate Lynette on guessing The Taj Mahal in my Google Earth competition, check your e-mail’s Lynette and send me your address so that I can post your prize. As I only had a couple of entries I wont do another competition but if you do want one just leave me a comment and I’ll run another.
Nothing inspires me more to get out of bed at sunrise on a freezing cold Saturday morning, don my woolly undies, scarf and gloves, and then drive all the way into the city than the words “Fiskas Sale”. Yes that’s right, there was a sale at the Fiskas factory outlet, and let me tell you my efforts were so worth it. I was able to buy full packs of beautiful scrapbook paper for $1 and $2 a pack, even the packs with over 300 pieces were on sale for $4!
Fiskas are also known for their magnificent cutting tools and I got some beautiful garden secateurs for a measly $5, sorry Mum! So what do you do in the garden in the middle of winter when the temperature has plunged to 1′ I hear you ask. You go and admire these beauties.
This Daphnie is at my front door and has hundreds of flowers this year filling the air with the most amazing scent.

The cyclamin in my kitchen window.

Magnifcent magnolias.

Even the very last of my roses look stunning.

So even on the coldest of days it’s still a pleasure to go out into the garden. I hope you all enjoy a beautiful week.

Hiya Maddy-
I STILL can’t get my head around the fact that it’s cold Down Under!! I got burnt to a crisp this weekend and you’ve got Magnolias and cyclamens in flower!!
Ooh! I love Fiskars, from their craft stuff to their gardening stuff I think we’re single handedly keeping them in business on this side of the world. Sounds like you got some stunning deals. Happy crafting!
