My husband and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary this week, we both forgot! These beautiful flowers were a gift from my parents who never forget our anniversary!

So what were we like nineteen years ago, hmmm let’s see…

My husband had a “flat top” haircut and I have, well, what can I say, words fail me! I loved the dress the minute I saw it and the veil too. My flowers were meant to be all red with no white bits but once it arrived on the day there was nothing I could do about it, tantrums just aren’t me.
I wonder if my children will look back at our wedding photo with the same feelings I have when I see my parents wedding photo. I love this photo so much. I love the huge door in the background and the shadow of the tree, Mum’s hair (and Dad’s) and that huge horseshoe which Mum still has.

With all that nostalgia I’m feeling a bit woosey now! I’d better go and put tea on and get my act together.

Congratulations! Both of those wedding photos are wonderful! I agree with you. The architecure of the door and building is beautiful. I love old stuff, buildings, glass, my husband…..
You are really cruising along with your afghan, too, my dear. You’ll have it done in no time. Then you can start on the next one.
While I wait for more snow to fall, I’ll be singing happy anniversary to you.

Happy Anniversary!!!
And Many Many More.
Love is great!
Love your blog.As the mother of two sons,one(38 yrs old) that is autistic, I relate to a lot that you say and do. My husband and I just celebrated our 43rd anniversary March 20.
Love your afghan. In the 70’s I crocheted two afghans .The first was tight in the beginning rows and then loose in the last rows as I relaxed(almost the same colors as yours, brown, yellow and gold). My second afghan was better(red, white and blue). They were for my boys. They loved them, mistakes and all.Haven’t crocheted since!
Love Tea.I laugh when you talk of tea. As a southerner (from Florida)I love iced tea.
When I moved North to Connecticut(after marriage)I learned to love Hot tea.Now I love them both.
Keep up the good work and again Happy Anniversary.

I do hope that you had a wonderful Anniversary Maddy! It’s so nice that your mother always remembers! The flowers are lovely and I just adore the wedding pictures! What beautiful brides you and your mother were and what handsome men your husband and father! Here’s to another happy 19 years!!! By the way thanks so much for the lovely surprises I got in the mail yesterday! I love them all, but especially the beautiful table cloth and I can’t wait for some time to sit down and watch the DVD! I love the British version of that show and just know I will love the Australian version. You are too kind Maddy! I love you to bits! XXOO

I don’t get around to checking up on your “row tally” for just one day and look what happens! You’re at 74 rows. Girl, you’ll be done with that in no time! Then both the boys will start working on you to make one for each of them - possibly even in some rather unreasonable colors (sound like I’ve experienced this before?). Next thing you know, relatives, friends and neighbors will be admiring it and asking you to make one for them: “could you have that done by next week Maddy? My parents are coming for a visit and it would be perfect for the guest room.”
Have a g’day
