A few posts ago I talked about my list of jobs to do on my holidays and one of them was getting that draw full of phone and game rechargers organised. Well I’m pleased to say I came up with a pretty solution that I think you’re going to like. Here is a quick reminder of what the horrid tangled mess looked like.

I gathered together a sheet of stiff card, 2 sheets of pretty paper from my scrapbook supply, my double-sided tape and some nice ribbon.

I then measured the depth and width of the draw and cut three strips of card to fit my space, this will make six storage compartments. If you need more or less compartments just use as many card strips as you need.
I then covered the card stock in the pretty paper using the double-sided tape and trimmed the ends with ribbon to neaten them up.
I made slits in the card where I wanted it to intersect with the other piece of card. The bottom two pieces of card have one slit from the top to the middle and the centre card has two slits from the bottom to the middle.

I made a fourth strip which I lined the back of the draw with. I also used a matching sheet of paper to line the draw. I made labels for each compartment with my label maker to identify which charger is in each compartment.

And finally I wrapped the chargers up neatly using elastic bands.

I wonder how long this will last? Now what to do with all those CD’s???

Lurvely!! I would like each and every drawer in our house to look like that (complete with labels) but the glorious order would not last long! The rest of the family are in campaign mood - their chief aim seems to be to go around behind me undoing all the neatness!! C’est la vie!
