I am always fascinated by where people come from who visit my blog, and how they got here. Everyday I check the Neo-counter over there on the left of screen and jump for joy when I see a new country pop up. I love watching the battle of the countries too. As in any good sporting contest Australia is in hot pursuit of the USA. The Netherlands and Canada go back and forth and Germany and France are in a heated WWIII style battle for supremacy.
Sadly though the new visitors often don’t leave me a comment or a quick note to say hello, and that makes me a little sad really! Is it because they found my blog boring, was it not friendly enough, were they too scared to comment or perhaps they don’t speak English?
So this week I would like to extend and invitation to all my visitors to “Say G’day” in your native tongue.  And please don’t be shy, tell me how you found your way here, what your hobbies are or how many children you have, anything at all. This goes to Aussies, Americans and Brits too, don’t think just because you pop in often for a read that you can get away without saying G’day.
And of course it just wouldn’t be right to not offer a reward for your efforts. So next Saturday morning I will put all the names of those who have popped in and left a comment into a hat and draw out a winner. The prize will be a hand made gift which I’ll work on this week.Â
So what are you waiting for …. Say G’day!

Hi Maddy, I read your blog regularly. Bloglines is very helpful, as I see straight away when someone has posted a new post. In the Netherlands we say ‘goede dag’, our ‘hallo’ and some say ‘hoi’.

Hi Maddy, Just popping in to say G’day back! Although over here we more than likely would say Hello. At least I think that’s what we would say. There’s some places the might be more likely to say Oy!
Cheers!

Hi Maddy, Do I count? I visit everyday and comment sometimes (now that I came out of hiding). I can’t remember how I found your blog, probably when I was blog surfing. I don’t find it boring at all. Over here in the U.S. we say “Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening (which ever fits)” or “Hello”. I too tried to get my visitors to come out of the woodwork, but it didn’t work, I hope you have better luck.

well hello to you - can’t think how I would say that in my native tongue ….. a Geordie (Newcastle dweller) might say ‘Alreet Maddy?!’ and quite mysteriously ‘Howay Hinnie’ but as I am not a Geordie by birth, but by adoption you may have to make do with a more sedate ‘Hello’ and what a lovely post! I hope you get lots of responses!
take care

Hi, Maddy! I stop by every week–so I’m no new face here…But I know how you feel. I’ve been blogging a bit over a year now, but it was many, many months almost a half a year before I had any number of people leaving comments. It is sad and frustrating, especially when first starting blogging. I don’t know why people don’t post, I think it’s lots of reasons–shyness, not enough time maybe…But certainly your place is not at all borning! I loving coming here and seeing all your have to share. It’s a great place you have here in blogland! Happy days ((hugs))

G’day Maddy. As you already know I visit your blog regularly but I wouldn’t want to m iss the opportunity to say what I say to my friends when I greet them, ‘hiya’. I agree about people leaving comments.and it’s always nice to hear from people from other countries. Your blog is friendly and definatley not boring. I’m always interested in what you have been upto.

hi Maddy,
I havent left a note to say hello before now as I really hadnt thought of life from your (ace blogger) point of view and I felt very shy and self conscious about posting - which is silly as you cant see me blush from there can you??!!!! It must be sad having lots of people drop in for a look and then disappear without leaving a note! I think I found your lovely blog spot via “little cotton rabbits” which in turn I found when looking for fibers to spin on etsy? It was a little while ago now and so I forget exactly how it all started! I have often visited since then as I enjoy your photos and take on life! I will not be so shy abouting commenting in future!!! Oh, and We mostly say hi or hello here, as long as you smile when you say it, it doesnt much matter!! Best wishes X.

Good Evening, Maddy
I am visiting your blog from here in the Midwest, USA. I was at first surprised to see your blog said it was the 11th, til I noticed you are from Australia. I had the good fortune to visit your beautiful country just a few short years ago. Spent considerable time in Sydney and made day trips from there. It was absolutely wonderful and a trip I shall cherish all my live. I am normally a “lurker” and don’t post, but I couldn’t resist today. This is my first visit to your post. I came across it visiting another blogger.
Well, g’day to you and yours!

Hi Maddy,
I visit your blog sometimes. I probably found it looking at a blog of someone from far away who writes about ASD. I live in Melbourne. Glad you enjoyed your shopping tour.
