Nip Tuck!

September 15th, 2007

Hmmm I’ve been reviewing my week, and to be totally honest it was pretty boring.

Monday saw me called home from work mid-day to pick Nick up from school, sick with a head cold.  Bailey came down with the same thing that evening.  Both boys in bed by 7.30.  Chops and veg for dinner.  Nothing much on telly.  Yep … boring!

Tuesday was a “pupil free day” at the school so the boys were home with me.  Dad popped in to do some scrapbooking.  I went to see the plastic surgeon …. OH wait a minute there was something exciting to report.  I’m having plastic surgery! I know what you’re thinking … Hollywood movie star, new nose, boob job maybe a little lipo on the hips, but alas it’s not that exciting.  It all began a few weeks ago when my sister was giving my hair a trim.  She noticed that what used to be a small freckle on the side of my ear had grown and was now looking odd.  I made an appointment with the GP and to my total surprise he got very excited, Googling “ears” and “growths”.  He said it needed to come off and I was referred to a plastic surgeon.  So on Tuesday avo I headed off to see the surgeon and he too became very excited and animated and immediately booked me for a little “nip and tuck”.  So there we are, I can cross plastic surgery off the list of things to do before I die.

Wednesday and Thursday and it’s all about work.

Friday must hold something.  Let me see.  Went to work.  Had a chicken schnitzel roll for lunch.  Watched a re-run of  Jamie At Home, I love this series, it’s the best he’s done and last night was beets and carrots, great show.  My veg are all settled in now and I got a lovely surprise when I noticed the first of the peas has sprouted and the fennel is looking very interesting.

I’m cooking 100 chicken and veg pies with my girlfriend Jo this avo to sell at a kindergarten fete.  Earlier this year we baked 200 pies for the school fete and sold them in record time, we already have some pre-orders in for these pies.  Jo is such an inspiration, she had me making dozens of bottles of pasta sauce earlier in the year.  Last week, while on my walk, I waved to her as she cooked away in her kitchen and she held up a coat hanger laden with home made pasta.  Nothing surprises me when I go there, she is always up to something.

I hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend, stay safe.

Thanks for yur comments. You are so right Maddy. Sorrow for a night but joy comes in the morning. It’s what makes us who we are and builds our character. I know yu know allabout that,

I see you are making all thos pies for school fete. Our health and safety rules here now will not allow that. Some schools are not even allowing children to bring in a birthday cake. All so sad.
