I would like to ask all my wonderful readers, especially those in the UK, for some help with a little problem I have been encountering on my family tree.  My Dad’s father, Frank, died in 1936 when my Dad was only four years old and therefore has very few memories of him. I’m on the search for any information at all that I can find about my Grandfather, Frank Beaumont, especially living relatives of his brother and sister who may have family photos. I am sending our the call for all my wonderful readers to check your family trees, local phone books, anything at all that may help me find out about my Granddad.Â
Ok here is what I know so far…
Frank Beaumont
Born 31 August 1904 in Soothill, Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England.
Father Fred Beaumont
Mother Fanny Cardwell
Siblings were Clarence Cardwell (1894), Arthur Beaumont (1901) and Edith Beaumont (c1902) who married Fred Heaton in 1924
Married Eva Turner in 1928
Occupation Soldier in the Duke of Wellington Regiment and later a woolcomber
Died 24 November 1936 from TB

If you recognise anyone in this photo PLEASE leave me a comment and I’ll email you. The older lady is Edith Heaton and the older man is Arthur Beaumont. I think the girl on the left is Edith’s daughter and the young man second on the right is possibly Edith or Arthur’s son.Â
So if that’s YOU … get in touch.
My Grandma had a couple of photos of Fred, they were army photos and may have been taken in the Middle East, possibly Egypt. My Dad would dearly love to know anything at all about his father, the Duke of Wellingtons, even Dewsbury or Halifax post WWI and pre WWII.  So I’m sending out this request across the world wide web in the hope of finding even the smallest bit of information that may lead me to something.
It is now well after midnight, and once again I’m up late searching the net for clues to the family tree, I’d better get to bed as I have work in the morning. Night all.

OHHHH JO you’re the type of person I’ve been looking for, someone who lives in the area, you can’t imagine how huge my smile is right now! I get most of my information from the UK census which are fantastic, my problem now is finding out if any of the people in the photo are alive today. Would you look in your local phone book for me and see if there are any Beaumont’s or Heaton’s? You’re an angel.

Can’t really help but you could try posting a message here - http://www.curiousfox.com
My husband did this and was contacted by a lady in South Africa who sent him info that traces his family back to the 1500’s, they have since become firm friends.
