There isn’t a lot happening out in the garden at the moment but what is on show is marvelous.
The Daphne by the front door smells divine and has been flowering since May and is still amassed in tiny delicious blooms. I’ve just been out and cut myself a huge bunch to bring inside.
Down at the other end of the garden my newly planted bottle brush has begun to show-off and is attracting birds all the time. I have put a small bird bath in the same garden bed and hopefully the native birds will start to show up on a regular basis for a spot of lunch and a bath.
For the first time in ages we have not a thing planned for this weekend so I intend to spend it in the garden getting ready for spring.  My veggie patch needs planting out and the garden needs a general tidy up and some much needed pruning as well.Â
Have a wonderful weekend one and all.

PS: Puppy update … Red has settled into family life nicely and will be starting his puppy blog “Techno Dog”  shortly!

I did prune on my holidays … all those nasty roses, now it’s time for the big stuff that has just become unruly and a bit ugly.

What a sweet little creature! Hey, I can see my blog on your screen! I love your Daphne too. Now that we finally own our own home I can start thinking about the things I want to plant in the garden. We have a lot of unpacking to do first! xk

Well as the veggie garden season draws to a close here in Ireland soon I’ll be able to satisfy my vegetative curiosities by watching your garden thrive and mine goes into hibernation
