When I woke-up this morning my head was spinning, I literally nearly hit my head on the wall when I went to open my curtains and I felt very queasy. Last week I had a rotten head cold and I think I now have a middle ear infection … Yukky yuk yuk!
Luckily for me my two wonderful sons were well behaved, got their own breakfast, made their beds and got ready for school all without me needing to ask them twice. They even wrote out their own lunch order bags (a very Aussie thing) and got the money from Dad’s change tray, and then got them selves off to school, I am so blessed.
Last week I was on fire with my holiday list of “things to doâ€. I got my garden in order, no veg planted out but I did dig over the veggie patch in readiness for this years carrots, tomatoes, basil and beans.
Mum and I had a fantastic time on Friday at the Craft and Quilt Fair, spent all our money and came home with loads of projects to get on with. Saddly I missed Melly and Rosie by one day but let me just say their flossy’s are even cuter in real life.

I made my PIF gifts, which I’m very pleased with, I just need to add a few sweet treats to finish the parcels off. They should be in the post shortly girls so keep an eye on the postman.

Finally got around to getting my carpets cleaned which had become more of an issue following the arrival of Red the puppy and two weeks of winter school holidays.
And last but not least I cleaned and tidied my craft space, which is now all in order and ready for my next crafty challenge. My Mum has always made lovely quilts and I am now inspired to make my own. When I was a very young girl I owned a purple chenille bedspread, I loved that bedspread so much and last year my Mum dug it out from her linen closet and gave it to me. While I love it a lot my boys don’t and so the chances of it ever gracing a bed in my home are limited. At the craft show I noticed a lot of chenille on show and found the perfect solution to my dilemma … make a new quilt with the old quilt. I have purchased some wonderful fabric and I will start work on the re-invented quilt as soon as I get my sewing machine serviced. Keep an eye on this sport as it’s going to look wonderful.

Ok I am off to the Doctors to get something for this dizziness.

Good grief no wonder you have come down with a bug you sound like you’ve been some kind of human whirlwind. Time to have a little rest me thinks. Hope you feel better soon.

Maddy, when you commented on my blog I could not get back to you as your comments did not have a connection. So here I am now going straight to your site. My husband had that same ear infection once Labrynthitis. He was so ill and disorientated he ended up in hospital A & E but he was fine once he recovered and knew what it was. Hope you are completely well now.
