We have had the best week of rain in years, literally!  On Thursday night it was raining when I went to bed which is just the most soothing sound to hear on your roof top and then in the night I woke up to the sound of pelting rain and in the morning still more rain.  It’s amazing how quickly everything greens up and looks far more friendly.  Even my lovely Camellias began their winter show.

The mail was also great this week, well apart from the odd bill or three!  My latest eBay acquisition arrived …  more beautiful blue and white chine, this time a set of salt and pepper shakers.  I also have my eye on a gorgeous napkin holder from the same seller, it may have to be a *self gift* … hey nothing wrong with that now is there?

This weekend is looking fantastic.  First up I’m spending all of Sunday at a scrapbook work shop.  We will be starting at 8am and finishing at 6pm, doesn’t that sound like bliss?  I’m hoping to get lots and lots of pages completed and also finish off my sisters lovely birthday album with photos taken on the night of her party.  I am going to have to spend today doing all the weekend jobs but it will be well worth it as I won’t feel guilty at all tomorrow. 

My boys are not going to be missing me either as Lee has had a call this week to say that the PUPPY he ordered a few months ago is now six weeks old and ready to go to it’s new home.  The boys have wanted a dog forever and finally with our garden now finished and no muddy areas left Lee placed an order with the breeder.  We are getting a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, I’m not sure of the sex yet as we havn’t been able to talk about it much trying to keep the secret.  The boys are going to be so surprised tomorrow afternoon, so lookout for lots of cute puppy photos in the next post.

With all that said I must go and start with the tidy up and get some washing on, it’s funny but I am excited about doing all this for the first time in ages!  Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe.
